Heritage Brown Leather Medicine Ball | 20lb

Most medicine balls are rubber, smell faintly of a tyre shop, and spend their lives in a corner you’d rather guests didn’t see. This one is stitched leather, panelled like a basketball from before the NBA existed, and it looks fine on a shelf between workouts. Russian twists, wall passes, partner throws and overhead carries work the same as with any medicine ball. The difference is that you don’t need to hide this one afterwards.

The honest part: it’s a medicine ball, not a slam ball. Pass it, throw it to a partner, press it overhead, but don’t spike it onto concrete.

MVP started in Auckland from one objection: sports equipment used to be beautiful, and at some point it stopped being so. Founder Josh Carmody makes gear in the spirit of the ’60s to the ’90s, with fine leather, neutral tones, and a debossed logo where other brands put a loud one. Every piece is made by hand in small batches.
