A STORY OF RESILIENCE
On October 29, 2024, the DANA storm hit Valencia with unforgiving force. Streets turned into rivers, and entire neighborhoods were swept away. Among the wreckage lay a Track Shuffleboard, delivered to Gastrolovers just one week earlier.
When David sent videos of the aftermath to RS Barcelona — his restaurant buried in mud, the shuffleboard barely visible beneath the debris — the RSB team knew what needed to be done. Because some stories are not meant to end in silence.
This is one of them.
It’s the story of a team that refused to give up.
Of sleeves rolled up, of brushes, paint, patience, and persistence.
Of a shuffleboard reborn — not just restored.
Because what team rebuilt wasn’t merely a game table.
It was a symbol of connection, of shared laughter, of moments waiting to happen again.
After countless washes, layers of paint, and hours of work, the table returned to life — carrying with it the marks of resilience and the spirit of everyone who believed it deserved another game.
Behind every piece restored beats a human story.
And this one reminds us that even when the waters rise,
some things are simply built to endure.
