WHY WE LOVE IT

The case for it

Outside it's 42°C. Inside, every gym in the city runs at about 19, and your ankles have been in air-conditioning since the car. Warming up in that state is mostly a formality.

The Hyperboot does it for you, and lets you keep moving while it happens. Nike built the shoe, Hyperice built the inside of it: dual-air Normatec bladders bonded to heating elements, pushing heat through the foot, Achilles and ankle at 44, 48 or 52°C, with compression at 50, 130 or 210 mmHg. Fifteen minutes per cycle. Controls on the boot, or the app if you'd rather not bend down.

The honest part

It won't stretch you. It will get the ankle ready to be stretched, which is the part most people skip because it involves standing still. Wear tall socks. Splash-resistant, not waterproof.

    • The Hyperboot combines advanced heat with Normatec dynamic air compression to help accelerate warm-up and recovery.

    • Yes, Hyperboot should always be worn with tall athletic socks that cover any part of the foot or leg within the boot.

      Every person’s sensitivity to heat is different, so find the heat setting that is right for you. What may feel comfortable for one person may feel very hot for another.

      You should not feel pain or discomfort while using the Hyperboot, if you do feel pain or discomfort, immediately turn off and remove the Hyperboot.

    • Press and hold the power button for 0.5s.Once you turn both shoes on, select your desired compression and heat level, and then press the Start/Stop button.

    • A Hyperboot session runs for 15 minutes per cycle. We recommend starting with one 15-minute session on level 1 heat and level 1 compression and working your way up based on your recovery needs. You can repeat cycles directly on the boot or extend the duration in the Hyperice App.

      Can I travel with the Hyperboot?

    • Yes, the Hyperboot is TSA approved for carry-on.

    • Yes, the Hyperboot is designed to be used while standing, walking, sitting, or traveling so you can recover while continuing with your day.

    • Warm up – Heat + Normatec massage
      Recovery – Just Normatec massage
      Only heat (no Normatec massage) – if you only use the heat levels, and 0 on the compression levels, then the device will hold pressure at 30mmHg and run the heater

    • The shoes are IP54 rated which means that the product is protected from dust and water splashes, but not waterproof.
