WHY WE LOVE IT

The kettlebell began as a counterweight on Russian market scales, and for three centuries it has looked like one: a cannonball with a handle, parked by the back door. Alama kept the swing and dropped the cannonball. The body is a softened square of stainless steel, faced with wood whose grain was drawn rather than found. The handle is a single continuous loop. It trains exactly like any kettlebell of its weight. The difference is what it does between sets, which is sit on a shelf looking as if it was meant to be there. Polished steel shows fingerprints. Consider them evidence.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Alama Studio is a design studio outside Turin, founded in 2026 on a simple objection. The equipment we train with is usually too ugly to live with, so it gets sent to the room nobody sees. Alama draws weights, racks and storage the way a furniture studio would: stainless steel, designed wood surfaces, furniture-grade leather. Every material is left visible and every joint is resolved. The function is the one you already know; a 10 kg dumbbell still weighs 10 kg. What changes is that it no longer needs a door to hide behind.
